Paul and the crew at Carnival Fun Fairs were thrilled when asked to provide a full period fairground to feature on the set of the world famous Downton Abbey, and at Paul’s suggestion the shoot even featured a grand fairground traction engine and showman’s living wagon.
Carnival Fun Fairs went way beyond the classic components of a successful historical drama which also featured the golden carousel, traditional swing boats, helter skelter, flying chair o’ planes, a juvenile carousel and olde tyme shooting saloons.
The Downton narrative shines a light on key historical themes and on this occasion a historical deluxe fun fair.
